Police arraign woman in Court over stealing


A 30-year-old woman, Bose Ogunkanmi was on Monday arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State for allegedly stealing N156,000.


The Prosecutor, Inspector Abiodun Fagboyinbo told the court that the accused person on the 6th of October, 2017 stole the sum of N156,000 belonging to one Adewumi Adewusi.

He said the offence committed by Ogunkanmi is contrary to and punishable under section 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume II, Laws of Osun State, 2003.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge of theft levelled against her and her lawyer, Mrs. Yinka Dada applied for the bail of her client in the most liberal terms.


Magistrate Olatundun Adijat Oloyade granted the accused the bail of N200,000 with two sureties and adjourned the case till  November 9, for hearing.
